Settings of POP3 Email on Nokia Series 40 (Nokia 2610,2626,2630,6300 etc)

I will show you step by step how to configure pop3 email of gmail and yahoo.co.id on Nokia 2610 or Nokia series 40 (Nokia 2610,2626,2630,6300 etc)

a. Gmail

For example, i have email account majusell@gmail.com. Before we can access pop3 email from mobile phone, we have to activate pop3 feature gmail on the gmail account on the server.

Menu-Messaging- E-mail -Options-Manage accounts-Options-New-OK-Other. Then input the following data:
~Your full name(appears on sent e-mail): Maju Selular
~E-mail address of this account: majusell@gmail.com
~Incoming mail server information:
*Server type:POP
*Server name: pop.gmail.com
*User name for the incoming mail server: majusell
*Password: 123456 (fill with your password ,ie 123456)
*Repeat password: 123456

~Outgoing mail server information:
*Server name: smtp.gmail.com
*Your user name and password for the outgoing mail server: Same as incoming
~Configure optional advanced settings for incoming e-mail?: Yes
*Retrieve:Initially only header
*Number of e-mails to retrieve: 30 (or up to you)
*Maximum e-mail size (kB): 100 (or up to you)
*Secure login:Automatic
[v]Sec. connection (SSL) checklisted to activate
*Server port number: 995

~Configure optional advanced settings for outgoing e-mail?: Yes
*Reply to address:majusell@gmail.com
*Secure login: PLAIN
[v]Sec. connection (SSL) checklisted to activate
*Server port number: 465

~Name for account in this e-mail client: majusell@gmail.com

b. Yahoo.co.id

For example, i have email account majusell@yahoo.co.id. Before we can access pop3 email from mobile phone, we have to activate pop3 feature yahoo on the yahoo mail account on the server.

Menu-Messaging- E-mail -Options-Manage accounts-Options-New-OK-Other. Then input the following data:

~E-mail address of this account: majusell@yahoo.co.id
~Incoming mail server information:
Server type:POP
Server name: pop.mail.yahoo.com
User name for the incoming mail server: majusell
Password: 123456 (fill with your password ,ie 123456)
Repeat password: 123456

~Outgoing mail server information:
Server name: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Your user name and password for the outgoing mail server: Same as incoming

~Configure optional advanced settings for incoming e-mail?: Yes
Retrieve:Initially only header
Number of e-mails to retrieve: 30 (or up to you)
*Maximum e-mail size (kB): 100 (or up to you)
*Secure login:Off

*Server port number: 110
